Andreas Vesalius Birthday Party

The TMC Library will celebrate 100 years in 2015 with a series of events throughout the year. The first event will be held on Monday, January 12 at noon to celebrate Andreas Vesalius 500th Birthday.

Attend a presentation by L. Maximilian Buja,MD on the life of Vesalius.

Italian style food and Prosecco will be served - generously underwritten by the Houston Academy of Medicine (first come, first served). Grab some birthday cake and refreshments, view our copy of one of the earliest editions of Vesalius magnum opus; De Humani Corporis Fabrica (On the fabric of the human body) and get your photo taken with "Andy," a life-sized cut-out of a Vesalius illustration!

The event will be held on the first floor of the TMC Library, 1133 John Freeman Blvd.
