Library Mobile Applications

Do you need to do research on a specific disease while seeing patients at the hospital? Are you doing rounds and need detailed drug information right away?  Do you need access to your RefWorks bibliography right away? Do you know you can access some of the Library’s databases on your iPhone, iPad, Blackberry or Android mobile device?

The TMC Library has created a web page of instructions for websites and applications of freely available resources and library’s database subscriptions. The library subscriptions will allow access to full-text resources.

The following databases are available to download under websites:

·        EBSCOhost includes CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycInfo

·        MD Consult

·        PubMed

·        RefWorks

Applications are available for:

·        DynaMed (via Skyscape) please contact the Circulation Desk 713.799.7146 to get a serial number (required for registration)

·        Science Direct

·        SCOPUS

·        STAT!Ref

·        Epocrates

·        Medscape

·        Skyscape

Once you access the mobile website, click on View under Setup Details and Launch Site.
