John Paul Liang, PhD, MSOM, LAC, Practitioner of
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at The Methodist Hospital, will present an introduction to acupuncture and discuss its
benefits.

Dr. Liang has been a licensed
acupuncture practitioner in Houston, Texas since 2002. He is also a Diplomate
in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine with the National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Liang is
the President of the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine,
and the former Dean of Clinical Training at the College. Dr. Liang has been involved in numerous
research studies in conjunction with Baylor College of Medicine, Rice
University and The Methodist Hospital.
One of his research interests is the impact of patient-provider
interaction on the response to acupuncture.
