JoVE- a new medical research tool, captured in real time

Be sure to check out the Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE), a PubMed indexed journal devoted to the publication of biological, medical, chemical and physical research in a video format. JoVE takes advantage of video technology to capture and transmit the multiple facets and intricacies of life science research.
The Texas Medical Center Library subscribes to four of the seven JoVE research sections:  JoVE General, JoVE Clinical and Translational Medicine, JoVE Neuroscience and JoVE Immunology and Infection.
Click here for a detailed preview of JoVE's unique content.
Educational users have remote full text access to all JoVE sections, which can be linked to directly from within PubMed.   Other Library users may access to all JoVE sections while in the physical library.   If you have any questions, please contact us at eresources@exch.library.tmc.edu.

Due to technical difficulties on the publisher’s platform, JoVE can be accessed only via direct links on the TMC Library’s eresources portal, as shown here:

Non-educational users may access within the Library with a guest pass and login

New England Journal of Medicine Archive 1812-1989

The TMC Library now offers online access to the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) Archives from 1812 to 1989.  “With over 150,000 articles, 8,657 issues, 478,000 pages, 85,316 images, and 610,000 references, the NEJM Archive is certain to include the information you need.

All articles have been scanned at high resolution; the earliest NEJM articles, published between 1812 and 1944, are presented as searchable PDFs. Articles published between 1945 and 1989 are presented just like current content, accompanied by the PDFs. Articles are fully searchable, tabbed for easy access, and available as PDFs or full-text HTML with downloadable graphics.  Where possible, NEJM has also added full issues and cover and advertising sections in order to showcase the print advertisements that were published in the original issue.”

Access to the Archives is available on the NEJM website, along with current subscription content from 1990 to the present.
